9 January 2020 (Thursday),The Kedah Matriculation College(KMK) organised a benchmarking visit to IPQ recently. The visit consists of 34 lecturers and internal auditors.

According to KMK’s delegation leader Mr Zaidi Man, the objectives of the visit are to gain information and exposure to UUM’s Quality Management System which is administered by IPQ. He hopes that the knowledge attained from IPQ will guide them to improve the quality management of Kedah Matriculation College.

The briefing was presented by the Deputy Director of IPQ Quality Excellence System Division, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Rohaizah Saad. The delegates are impressed with the comprehensive descriptions of the scope of UUM certification, auditing methods, quality-related trainings and the online audit reporting system used by IPQ.

They are also very interested with the system used by IPQ in managing the audit of MS ISO 9001: 2015, Risk Management and Quality Management (QE / 5S) and hope that IPQ will be able to co-operate and provide advice and training related to Quality Management System to them.

It is hoped that the input and knowledge sharing discussed during the visit will be practised at KMK. IPQ also hopes that the newly formed relationship can be expanded in terms of quality training and more.

At the end of the visit, the delegates were taken to visit the Administrative and Competitiveness Division (BPDS) and the Quality Excellence System Division (BSKK) to see how the Quality Environment (QE / 5S) is practised at IPQ.
