IPQ IN-HOUSE TRAINING: HEP INNOVATIVE & CREATIVE CIRCLE (ICC) DOCUMENT PREPARATION WORKSHOP

HEP has invited Dr Rosman Iteng form IPQ as the facilitator for its ICC Document Preparation and Review Workshop from 10 to 11 August 2020 at Dewan Budi Siswa, UUM Art and Culture Centre. The workshop was attended by 22 staff from 2 HEP ICC groups. The 2 groups will be competing at the UUM ICC Open Convention from 20 to 21 October 2020. The projects that HEP has identified are "Digital Rundown" and "QR 3S System".

During the workshop, the systematic problem solving methods were introduced to the participants, namely problem solving techniques according to the PDCA cycle. Among the systematically problem-solving measures are to examine the problem, determine the target to be achieved, identify the cause of the problem and determine an innovative and creative action plan. IPQ also shared ICC scoring criteria so that the preparation of documents is in line with the requirements of the jury panel.

The participants were very fortunate to receive guidance from the facilitator, for example in reviewing the reports prepared by both groups. During the 2 days’ workshop, each group has successfully identified the problem and applied all the tools to form an action plan that needs to be implemented and make corrections to the report that was being completed.

The Director of the Department of Student Affairs, Mr. Noor Azman Yusof, in his opening ceremony speech hoped that all HEP ICC participants could make careful preparations and prepare reports according to the various methods that have been taught and comply with the scoring criteria described by the facilitator.

Hopefully the guidance and instruction from Dr. Rosman Iteng of IPQ will assist HEP to achieve success in the coming UUM ICC Open Convention.
